It is simply incredible, what Gary Lam's VT has to offer. Therefore we created a free newsletter to inform you about news, insights etc. Here you can subcribe.
(Dachau, 31.Okt.05)
For the first time Ving Tsun Grandmaster Gary Lam from USA had been invited to teach at a seminar in Germany. Sifu Stauner Ulrich (Ving Tsun & Escrima International) hosted the seminar lasting for 3 incredible days in his new Ving-Tsun-Headquarter in Dachau.
Participants were coming from England, Danmark, Holland, Austria, Canada,
even China, and different German cities. There have been 6 different styles of
Ving-Tsun present, and the representatives used the opportunity to learn from GGM Wong Shun Leungs
master student.
We also could welcome Master Clive Potter from England, which gave the seminar a
special note.
Our translater was Sifu Leuschner from Canada.
At the first evening, GM Lam explained the scope of Ving-Tsun-Kung-Fu.
Next morning GM Lam was in high spirits, and the day was filled with hot
information starting at 10 a.m. in the morning, and lasting till 21:45 in the
evening.
All participants were thrilled by GM Lam's Level One, and when he did show
applications from the 4 forms, it was hard indeed to stop and let go in the
night.
On the final third day at first the Siu Lim Tao was explained in a heretofore
unheard detail. Following this Level One was continued. Everybody was thrilled,
and accordingly GM Lam was in high spirits.
We were surprised to learn, that GM Lam's master student, Peter Hsu took the
trouble to visit from Shanghai!!
Concluding, I and other participants would call this the best VT-Seminar that
has ever been done by GM G.Lam.
Sifu U.Stauner
We really enjoyed the seminar especially the part about pushing and pulling. I was also very nice to meet all the other ving tsum/wing chun people. We hope to get the chance to meet you again in the near future. Please, if it is possible, send me a copy of your notes from the seminar. I you like you can also have our notes from the seminar.
Best regards

The seminar was simply fantastic. It was a pleasure to receive such amounts of information, technical background and have the opportunity to get all those questions answered.
I have seen techniques and heard information, that has never crossed my eyes and ears before. GM Gary Lam did his demonstrations with superb ease, that is truly marvellous and exceptional.
However, not only GM Gary Lam was at his best, the other participants were in high spirits too. The atmosphere was easygoing, there was lots of practice, and marvelling. Lots of questions were asked, which mad the seminar a lively place.
To my astonishment, participants were from Germany (not so astonishing ;), Danmark, Holland, England, even China! Everybody had fun and could learn something.
In my opinion there should be more seminars of this kind. Not too close after this one, I would like to practice and study the things seen there, but definitely not in the very far future.
Finally I would like to give thanks to my teachers Werner Leuschner and Uli Stauner, who did a great job organizing this event, and especially to bring it about in the first place. Thank you!

it was a super duper seminar, with a mega lots of excellent tips, information and practical exercises. Personally especially interesting for me was the sunday (details regarding SNT and applications). Great also the "multi-european" presence of VT-students. Many thanx to sifu Uli, who succeeded to bring the Masters of VT together here in our school in Dachau. This surely was not a simple logistic endeavour. Greetings to all.
